About her
I'm optimistic and a survivor probably because I'm a positive person. I have children and grandchildren in Cornwall and I visit them and my dentist at least twice a year and they visit me too at [Removed] - the children that is. I enjoy, amongst other things, photography, reading, writing, walking, short mat bowls, veggie gardening and my animals. I have sheep, hens, ducks, geese and bees. I walk pretty much every day with friends - this is a new thing for me and I love it in the woods here in Brittany.
Can't stand American politics and Brexit was a complete anathema.
Life here is calm and happy - just the way I like it. I try only to have people in my life who enhance it because life is now too short for compromise. I enjoy living in the sticks here in France and would not want to return to the UK to live.
Cooking and eating feature high on my list of good things to do, as does listening to music, enjoying the sunshine whenever it shows its face and the warmth of the wood burner when it doesn't. I do regular quizzes in a team with friends. Good conversation is something I enjoy along with keeping up to date with the news and world affairs generally - luckily I can receive BBC Breakfast television here.
I enjoy classical music above all other genres.
Allergic to dogs although my walking friends are almost all dog owners - lol.

An ideal match is clearly as scarce as hen's teeth. However, it would be good to find some of the following great characteristics: optimism, flexibility, a good level of personal hygiene, solvency, generosity of spirit, a willing nature, musical talent, the ability to wield garden tools effectively, prowess in the kitchen, a caring and gentle side combined with strength of character and integrity, being tall enough to reach those things which I cannot.
