Widowed for seven years, outdoor type,accomplished sportsman, financially sound,good family well established, and fortunately still fit and very active, having retired from chemical industry to family home in Lake District. Hobby is classic cars.
Well travelled, having lived and worked extensively in continental Europe, hence a fairly broad attitude to life.
Still working part time in land management largely to break any boredom, and keep fit, a reason to get up in the morning early and enjoy the outdoors.

Enjoy travelling, especially by train or minor roads in an open top car in the UK or on the continent. A regular visitor to Goodwood motor racing circuit. Not adverse to flying, preferably from minor airports.

A quiet nature, easy going, not a big talker but a good listener. Prefer smaller groups to large crowds and one to one with the right lady is preferred for walks, outings, holidays etc.. Would welcome a similar minded friend /companion initially, distance no real object.
If you would like to spend time in an old fashioned country house in The Lake District, great. Happy to spend time in the West Sussex area for motor and horse racing. Would also like sailing but never done it.
