About her
About me - Funny, energetic, intuitive, humane, friendly, compassionate, some say charismatic. A bit bonkers but never boring. A bit of a comedian who loves to banter. Apparently, I have a direct (almost forensic) interest in people which can be a bit daunting to those that I 'cross-examine'
About sport - I am mad about skiing, body boarding, keeping fit in the gym and head-banging sports like canyoning, coaststeering and whitewater rafting. Bikes are good too.
About hedonism - Love it! Food and wine. And all the other great things that are bad for you. I can also do sitting in front of a log burner, watching a film, sipping red wine and having a cuddle.
About books - I read voraciously. Mostly novels. I love the classics but have recently discovered that I like detective novels which is a bit of a surprise. Favourite modern authors...all men...William Boyd, Ian McEwan and Sebastian Faulks. Not forgetting the classics Hardy, Austen and the Brontes.....all women.
About films - hate comedy films and chick flicks. Love a good costume drama and anything that lets me look at Daniel Craig or Ewan McGregor
About my job - Black humour helps me through the day. It comes with the territory of being around illness and death.
About present government- makes me ashamed to be British
About travel - Done loads of it but seem to gravitate to 2 places Scotland and Italy. I dream of living in both countries. I had an enlightening if not harrowing trip to Gaza to teach. Banksy and I were there at the same time - some of my friends now believe that I am he.
About music - it's singer/songwriters all the way. Paolo Nutini has it all - A handsome Glaswegian with a soulful voice and originating in Italy. I sang in a band once before I got holed up in medical school.
About relationships - I am warm, sensual and giving.
