Winter Begone! Time to contemplate tomorrow's sunrise and not the floods. Action required. Let's not wait. (With prayers to the weather Gods) My body is not attuned to anything below 16 degrees so any heat (apart from bills) is bliss! I have worked away from British Winters for so long (Hooray). Sunshine refreshes ideas and energizes. So here's to hope, new friendships, and dreams of a little more sunshine. begone winter winds! No more attempts to steal the warmth from betwixt my ears.
Me? A semi-retired performing arts advisor, musician, and awful cook. (but I try!) Irish descent, I grew up in Malaysia where the sunshine beckoned once again when I became a teacher. Now? I have spent so long in South East Asia, as I settle back in the UK, I am used more to spices for breakfast than Porridge.
Have a spontaneous outlook on life. Adore playing the harmonica, and guitar at the local Folk Club. Initially, friendship matters. I have no 'shopping list'. Everything is possible. So if you do have one, sorry I am not the right person. Serendipity decides. A natural bias for people who are solution-orientated, not blame. Excited by art, travel cultural diversity, and warmth, who enjoys a glass of red wine and can celebrate the moment. A feral accomplice able to distract from another Winter would make a very special year.
My cunning plan; to grow old but not up, focus on solutions, and positive people. Still disorganized since back from a lifetime teaching overseas, (truly working on it:) but conscious the process would be infinitely more fun with another. Here's to the tilt of the earth towards the sunshine.
