Kia ora! I'm a unique small town Kiwi woman who was made in America with Maori and assorted European parentage and raised within the Maori/Kiwi culture and spirituality. I speak Kiwinglish (New Zealand's distinct linguistics of Maori/English which I forget people cannot understand outside of NZ :-D) and Maori.
I'm essentially happy, optimistic, love laughing until my tummy hurts, and naturally warm, friendly, kind, caring, thoughtful, respectful and appreciative, and enjoy the company of a variety of different people.
I'm inherently intuitive, instinctual, demonstrative and in touch with my feelings (loving, affectionate, tactile, at times cranky and feel no harm in a good cry). I speak my mind openly and honestly - I feel it's essential for a trusting, fulfilling and loving relationship .
I've the knowledge and intelligence of an adult (PhD level), coupled with the curiosity of a child, and the ability to laugh and play like one when the occasion arises. I've also a dry and quirky sense of humour (often laughing at myself and life).
I'm not the most beautiful or sexiest woman in the world, or have a perfect body (more Dawn French Vicar of Dibley with a Maori Tattoo). I've a form of Spina Bifida often using my creativity, imagination and resourcefulness depending on if I'm using my crutches or not. I'm independent, although, occasionally messy, disorganized, and disorderly.
I feared I'd never walk again after an accident 5 years ago - The biggest challenge I've ever faced was re-learning to walk - I loved the feeling of walking barefoot on the beach and paddling in the sea after 2.5 years in "scaffolding" (leg-Callipers).
I'm just as comfortable with playful and lively discussions, as I am cooking (vegan due to food allergies), watching movies, listening to music, playing my beautiful Cello, and practicing yoga. As a Kiwi, I love being in nature and with animals, being in or near water; gentle hikes, and watching the All Blacks trounce the other team... ;-)
About her ideal match
I'm looking for a positive man who enjoys life, and who has the ability to have fun in the most mundane situations, with a quick wit and a good sense of humour (that is neither cruel or sarcastic) who can make me laugh until my tummy hurts.
A man who is emotionally available/intelligent, honest, trustworthy, kind, caring, thoughtful, considerate, loving, affectionate and respectful with good old fashioned manners and common courtesy.
A man with a keen intellect (not necessarily the kind you get from going to university or reading books) - A man with compassion for both people and animals (an animal lover would be great, as I have beautiful cats and sometimes I foster other cats until they find a Forever home).
I'd like to have children again (I'm an Angel Mummy), so I'm looking for a man who is family-orientated and who'd like to like to raise well-mannered, emotionally secure, kind, caring, considerate, compassionate and adventurous children with me.
A man who knows it's more than dates, holding hands and kissing; that it's about accepting each others weirdness and flaws, and also knows, it's about being ourselves and finding happiness together and seeing an imperfect person perfectly.
A man who enjoys music (playing and/or listening), the beach and countryside, the theatre/ballet, museums, other places of interest, and exploring foreign cities.
I'm NOT looking for Darwin's "Missing-link" found swinging from the Light-fittings every weekend; a smoker or someone with addictions too (in the past or the present) illicit or prescribed drugs, alcohol, or gambling.
If you're interested and haven't dozed off dribbling on your keyboard and you would like to chat and meet in person soon - Not looking for penpals.
Please write your favourite food in your message - It will guarantee a reply.
