About him
I'm a kind, warm, sensual, tactile, intelligent guy with a zany sense of humour and very eclectic tastes. I settled in the UK having spent my earlier years overseas. And no, I won't ever get used to the British climate!
I honour human values, in particular honesty and loyalty; and understand that a woman needs to be respected and nurtured. I have two children, now grown up, who mean the world to me. I love stimulating conversation on any topic. And the arts. This expression of the human soul holds, for me, a timeless mysticism. Everything in this world fascinates me. I'm deep, also sensitive and impossibly romantic. Bohemian and unconventional in taste, I follow my own star and dance to my own inner tune. I enjoy a wide range of music, which is central to my being, as well as the visual and performing arts. I have enjoyed salsa dancing in the past, and would be keen to pick it up again. When the weather is fine I love to be out on my bike or sharing a country walk. When it's inclement, a cosy nook by the fire in a country pub is my ideal. Me-time is likely to be spent in my workshop, or progressing various projects on the house or garden, although I would gladly share the latter two!
I express my creativity through my work [I'm a Chartered Engineer]. Being mechanically-minded, I love creating anything that moves. I currently work as a design engineer in the power generation sector and allied industries. I have done extra-mural freelance work as a tutor to school-age children, and can teach most subjects. I can't do foreign languages, though - useless man. I care about my appearance/physique, work out, swim and cycle regularly; although I am currently clawing my way back to form and fitness following a series of unfortunate cycle accidents. Have no worries - I have survived intact, which is more than can be said for my dearly-departed trusty steeds.

I am looking for a woman who is warm, loving, tactile and capable, with a disarming smile and full of laughter. A woman who is comfortable with her sexuality and sensuality and openly affectionate. She will need to possess emotional intelligence and communicability, able to express her feelings and speak her mind. She should be sharp of wit, unfazed by intellect and be capable of sustaining an intellectual argument. Ideally she will be well educated, read and travelled, and be articulate and able to express herself confidently in spoken and written word [grammatically correct please!]. She should be playful, able to tease and be teased, and not take me too seriously.
