About her
I am a happy, optimistic person and want to expand my circle of friends. A relationship which turned into something more would be a bonus. I love to experience new places, new ideas and new people and especially enjoy travelling both at home and abroad. Dining out and entertaining friends are things I love to do. Going to the gym and swimming are favourite activities and reading, listening to music (most types) keep me busy when I am not otherwise occupied! My friends would say that I am good company and loyal - and willing to try new things. I have recently retired so here's to new adventures and hopefully new friends!
About her ideal match
I would like to meet someone who is easy-going, and comfortable with who they are. Looks are not particularly important - although I appreciate someone who takes time to look their best. Some interests in common would be nice, especially a love of travelling and exploring new places. If you lived in the same region it would be a bonus but I am not too fussy so other locations would not be too much of a problem!
Chemistry - this is a difficult one to quantify; sometimes it happens immediately and at other times it takes longer to develop. Let's say I have an open mind about this - often a good friend can be the right person. I appreciate a good sense of humour - I like to think I have such a one and have been known to do impromptu comedy sessions with friends (not always intentionally!)
I'd like it if you had strong family relationships as my family are very important to me, especially now I have grandchildren although I can't quite believe that I am of an age to have them!
All the usual hobbies are ok with me - I like books, theatre, going to the gym, photography, the natural world (including walking through it and appreciating the great outdoors!) cooking, restaurants and many different types of cuisine, wine and the occasional cocktail etc. So if any of these are to your taste too then so much the better.
