Time for an update
About me, .... I live in Surrey, work across London, fly gliders over Oxfordshire at weekends and frequently visit the midlands and welsh borders. ....... Divorced, No children, 5'-11" to 6'-0", non-smoker, medium build with dark hair, caring, personality with GSOH.
What interests me? ...I have a spirit for the outdoors, and things natural. A walk in the local countryside (such as the Wrekin or Long Mynd) along the coast (not town beach) or in the mountains (stopping at a country pub on route) rather than sat in a pub or in front of the TV although also happy to just chill when the mood takes. A midnight walk under the stars, sharing the cooking, travel & swimming (especially in tropical waters) also works for me.
My hobbies and interests are perhaps a little different to the norm and have always risen to a personal challenge rather than follow the pack with team games and have no interest in football, rugby or the like and hype that goes with them. I bought myself a new bike in 2016 and now enjoy cycling along the rivers, towpaths and tracks for leisure, rather than roads with everyone else. My canoes have also gone back on the water after a long break.
My principal passtime is gliding and teaching other people to fly gliders. A sense of humour helps, particularly as instructing is voluntary ! ... it is also very rewarding seeing the smiles on people's faces. Not going to push anyone to take part but would be great it they would support my interest and trust me to take them for a flight.
I am not afraid of showing affection and quite happy walking hand in hand along a beach, kicking through the waves or watching the sunset. I enjoy eating out as well as quite nights in front of the TV and enjoyed the odd game of scrabble in front of the fire on those cold winter evenings.
Spare seat anyone or just join me for a cycle ride or dog walk sometime?

What type of person am I looking for... the million dollar question ! .... Someone who wants to be with me for who I am and not what they want me to turn me into. ..... . That passing glance that lasts a few seconds longer than it should, ...... that unexplainable feeling of time is suddenly standing still ...... that feeling of comfort and that you have known each other for years rather than a few minutes ! .....A shared walk under the stars ! .... I will know when I meet her, although sometimes the sparks take a little time to develop. The right person will also give a massive boost to your confidence (like a shot of adrenaline) and inspire you to do or try things you may never have done before, just by being at your side.
Ideally you will be fun loving and confident with an outgoing personality and GSOH of similar age and outlook (say mid-late 50'/ early 60's) who is comfortable in jeans, jumper walking boots (and doesn't mind getting them ditry). Not obsessed with their i-phone or tablet and not forgetting the little black dress for those special occasions. Someone who enjoys life's simple and natural pleasures, at home and comfortable with nature as well as the finer things that come with a loving and caring relationship. In essence, a best friend, partner, soul mate, lover and confidante to share the good times as well as the less good.
Ideally you will be located within 40-60 miles of South London or Shropshire, looking to for friendship, fun and romance, leading to a possible long term relationship and sharied future together! .... Distance is no big issue if the chemistry is there !
