Oh what to say...
I've been told I'm a curious mix! I enjoy camping in the middle of nowhere, or being pampered at a 5 star hotel! I enjoy the theatre, and even football occasionally! Used to be very sporty but now I mainly just get out in group or on my own on my new bike - yippeeeh! The cycling has led to lots of new friendships and I've even started singing in a social fun group. I enjoy music of all kinds and frequently go to live music; even open to trying opera with a little guidance.
Erratum: I fell off my bike quite a lot in recent years and broke both arms etc etc, boring boring - all ok now! So tennis has had to be replaced by walking and occasional jogging... but I am fully back to cycling for the wonderful sense of freedom and thrill and fun it brings. Hope to be completely functional soon! - 2015 - yes! Fully functional again, cycling whenever time allows, and Spring is coming!
Friends say I'm fun to be with, (usually the laughter being at my own expense!!) and open to lots of different interests and ideas. As my children have moved away and now think they're grown up with outside lives of their own there is more free time in my life, so maybe now is the time to explore possibilities.
I'm affectionate, tactile, funny, and love getting close to people whilst still giving friends or that special person plenty of space of their own.

My ideal match is someone with a huge sense of humour who enjoys the good things in life, is sociable, outgoing, fun, and sporty. (Cycling is my passion and I'd love my man to enjoy it too!) He would enjoy good food, wine and ale, travel, films and theatre, music of all kinds (that should have been higher up this list!)
He loves being outdoors, is energetic, open to new experiences, and has an element of spontaneity.
Apologies for this bit.... please don't be too easily embarrassed - it's usually very funny though! And if you are of a kind and generous and forgiving nature that would be good, especially as I am slightly accident prone. In return I must say I am a brilliant nurse if the same thing should happen to you...and I can cook! But cooking together or being cooked for would be even better!
Sorry if you like skiing....no skiing for me. And I don't really like getting wet if it involves a boat - bit of a pussy cat really....love being out on adventures most of the time and then come home to eat and lie in front of the fire. Hope this would fit in well with you, new friend.

2015 addendum - well, I tried kayaking in France last year on holiday with my cycling friends, and it was fantastic fun, so maybe boats aren't so bad after all!
