About her
I'm single and solvent, as well as active, adventurous, aware and interested in life and all it has to offer. I work in conservation and have lived in many countries from Brazil to Zimbabwe and Vietnam. Now a self-employed consultant and have blocks of time off, when I'd love to be with someone, go off and do things. Am open to idea of working a lot less, and even taking early retirement. I am "looking for more" in a relationship, but reckon compatibility and companionability is a great place to start. So ....
I'm a "doer", and have very varied interests. Lately, I've been focusing on skiing - downhill and off-piste and x-country (target of at least 3 weeks per year) and scuba diving (last year Maldives, and Indonesia, this year Red Sea) and would love to do more sailing (have a hardly used Day Skipper). Between times, I go to the gym regularly (yoga, pilates, aerobics, swimming) and play tennis. Have a bucket list of interesting places to visit for cultures, wildlife, landscapes. And I'm willing to try new things (but not play golf!). What I lack is companionable companion.
Have my own house and also like cooking, gardening, DIY and just pottering around. As well as the usual theatre, films, galleries, events, interesting restaurants. I'd say I'm intelligent and interested in a lot of things, but not super-intellectual. For cold winter nights/long train journeys, I also like bridge and scrabble, and good conversation and a glass or two (or three) of wine. I'd love to have pets or a small-holding/woodland, but currently, still travel too often. I'm open-minded, affectionate, practical, have gsoh. I don't like shopping, don't spend a lot of time on fashion, but you can dress me up and take me out. I am away abroad quite a bit with my work, but on the upside, there would be opportunities to meet up in interesting places and trek off into the distance!

So, it follows ... my "ideal" would be someone "like-minded" with background and interests compatible with mine and the freedom (financial, family, emotional baggage) to pursue them. And he should not live too far away! That said, if we're a good match, then distance would be no object.
Looks (and height) are not very important to me - more the "je ne sais quoi". Good humour and good energy are more seductive. Someone caring - of others (both those close to him and society more generally), of his own physical and emotional well-being, of the environment - and not caring - about amassing money or "stuff". And interested in the world, without being obsessively intellectual. Practical, outdoorsy, adventurous. Someone interested in one or more of: scuba diving, skiing and sailing, travelling would be great!
