I'm companionable, together, and my knuckles don't scrape the ground as I walk along. An optimist at heart and something of a dreamer - albeit with a practical core that keeps the house from falling down and me in agreeable, bookish employment. London-born with formative years both here and running wild in the country.
I like lots of things, including rockpools, farmyards, dogs, India, old roses, motorbikes; film noir, the Monti Sibillini, doing up old houses and gardens; multifarious reading, music, film, arts and current affairs; the winter nocturne from the Chelsea Embankment, derelictlondon.com; pottering around markets and galleries and auctions and carboot sales; country walks '...to take much beauty by surprise and to return at last to my starting point..'; belting freewheel down Ladbroke Grove...the wind in what's left of my hair; good food (preferably free-range...and fresh), conversation (ditto); open roads and hearts and minds.
I don't own a scrap of Lycra and organised sport rather leaves me cold - but I walk and cycle and swim a lot, and I like to ski.
Life is good and I don't want for much, but would love to meet somebody special to share and explore things with. I feel ready, and have the time, for that...
