About her
A fairly busy life. Some flexible work, helping to manage our local running club, family, volunteering, home, exercise, friends. It would be nice to have someone to share those good times. I'm physically active, especially running, walking, and (not enough) cycling. I love cooking, cinema, reading and music. After going to my first festival just before I was 50, I've discovered a love of camping which I'd like to do more of. I'm lucky to live in a beautiful part of the country but I'm originally from the north. A northerner in exile. I particularly love Manchester, especially the Stretford End ;-) My football and my politics are more red than blue. Remain not Leave.
Friends tell me I'm attractive and look much younger than I am and I certainly feel it and people are always surprised when I tell them my age. So don't be put off by a number on a page. Confident and independent but happy to lean when strong arms are offered for support. I'm neither looking for someone to provide for me nor to complete me. Companionship and shared interests would be a good beginning.
I love a challenge and in recent years have done several marathons and half marathons, 100 mile cycle rides, a coast to coast cycle ride and the 3 peaks. I'm equally happy enjoying a glass of fizz or wine or a pint of real ale at my local though. Black tie ball, running shoes, lycra, jeans, walking boots, they all have their moments :-)

Who can say what their ideal match is?! Chemistry is so crucial and that is either there - or it's not. However, I think it is likely that you are happy in your own skin, grown up but with a huge sense of fun. Definitely with a young and positive outlook on life. A gentleman but capable of respecting your partner's independence. I like good manners and don't think that it is demeaning to have a door opened for me. You probably will be somewhat interested in your appearance - maybe as comfortable in your favourite jeans or a suit,your running/cycling or walking kit or happily escorting me to a black tie 'do'. Music and watching and playing sport are important to me as are food, wine, entertaining, socialising, cinema, enjoying time in the country, or by the sea. Above all, energy and a thirst for life.
