About him
I was a Civil Engineer working in Project Management on retiring in the civil service but in the past with Consultants which included a two year spell in Turkey, based in Istanbul which was a tremendous adventure.
I keep fit doing voluntary work once a week and at weekends with Lions Club International collecting, repairing, selling and delivering donated furniture to raise money for local charities and causes. Love doing this with the other like minded “Old Gits” putting the world to rights having fun and a laugh and socialising.
Brought a 1970 VW camper van “Margo” shortly after retiring as a hobby to restore with the intention to revisit my favourite places and discover some new ones.
Love to charter and sail yachts in the UK a couple of times a year with retired work colleagues and in the Greek Islands in the spring or autumn when it is cooler and not so crowded.
I enjoy cooking, walking, the cinema, bowling and love adventure holidays such as skiing, sailing, canoeing, snorkelling. I’m not one for just sitting on the beach and love to explore when on holiday.
I would love to meet someone also young at heart to share the joy and adventures of life.
