The first thing to realise about David is that however nice and attractive he seems when you first meet him - and he is both - he's hiding lots of even nicer and more attractive, original qualities that will emerge once you get to know him better. He's kind, gentle and fair - he's also resourceful and determined, quirky, versatile and clever. He's unpredictable yet reliable, practical yet dreamy, gentle yet strong, all at the same time.
