I Love:
The crisp cold morning air on the mountain, with fresh snow below a clear blue sky.
The great art achievements of the world - the music of Mozart, the sonnets of Shakespeare, the Taj Mahal.
Radio 4, Science, Travel, and Wild life programmes on TV, Cinema.
I can't stand: (C)Rap 'music'. Ill-mannered & inconsiderate people, people who drop litter.
My main pastimes currently include keeping fit, golf, skiing, crosswords, dancing (Rock 'n' Roll), and reading. I used to play a lot of tennis, and would like to take it up again.
My philosophy of life:
Treat everyone as I would like them to treat me, and don't criticise someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes (then... you're a mile away - and now you have their shoes!).
Good judgment comes from bad experience - and most of that comes from bad judgment.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
My ideal match? A lottery winner would be great - but the only qualities that matter are a warm and loyal personality, and a great smile!
Warmth, mutual respect, and loyalty to each other would make our relationship great, as would the pleasures of sharing each other's activities, and travel and holidays - and of course, the joys of food and wine!
