About her
I like to think I'm a well-balanced single lady. I had a good job and spoilt myself but .... and it's a big BUT I feel I'm not making the most of my life on this earth - time is passing by too quickly. This has been brought home to me by the loss of a brother 11 years younger than me.
I spend too much time alone. It would be so much nicer to share the excitement of life with someone and see the world through someone else's eyes. I have found retirement coinciding with the pandemic tough as I didn’t have time to establish a new regime/interests/social contacts before it happened. I cannot wait to get out - even if it’s only for a coffee, a cinema trip or a drink somewhere comfortable. Oh and I am desperate to swim again. I’ve walked every day in the pandemic but it’s not the same.
I also plan to travel as soon as I can. I would love to do a European train trip. It would be good if someone else was enjoying it with me. Not really sure what to do next. There seem to be a lot of interesting men on here but are they just browsing? Am I supposed to be the one making the initial contact I wonder - are they all that shy - will no-one write to me?
I lived and worked in Central London until last year but now I am looking to base myself on the south coast - probably West Sussex. I love going to Cornwall (particularly the Helford River), although Padstow out of season is a favourite, and to Pembrokeshire (once a year if lucky). I had 5 siblings. The pandemic means I haven’t seen them as much as I should have done. Yes, being the eldest of 6 does perhaps make me a bit bossy but very good at organising things and catering for large numbers :-)
The other great love in my life is the South of France. I bought a small flat in Nice in 2007 but sadly I am having to sell it now I’ve retired. Being a true Leo I love the sun and the light and the warm seas so will still return in the future. I spent lockdown therein the Autumn and my walks were more pleasant than here.
