I am spirited, independent (have had to be!), enthusiastic and curious, with many interests. I am compassionate, empathetic and thoughtful, and a free thinker. I am easily moved by injustice in the world. Fascinated by everything in life - except dullness! But to be quiet and receptive to beauty both in art and in people is essential.
I love art and sculpture, poetry, cats and the countryside. I adore classical music, especially opera (!) and ballet but also treasure my collection of 60s and 70s pop music. I love to go to concerts and art galleries, which would be lovely to share with someone willing to try them! I would also like to travel more and share the delights and cultures of other places. But I do need space from crowds and the madness of the world.
I have a (rather wicked) sense of humour, and of fun, as well as a serious side.
If you like predictable and conservative, then I am not for you.

My ideal would be a caring, kind and compassionate man with a good sense of humour. Appreciation of the arts would be good too, especially music. Generosity of heart would be much valued - after all we are priveleged people and should be able to give a bit more to those who are not.
