About him
I am told by my good friends that I really should write my autobiography as I seem to have lived (and continue to) a very varied and somewhat charmed life. To me it has seemed quite ordinary, but I do know it has never been, and still is far from boring!
Although I have a wide circle of friends, some in pretty far-flung places, I am one of those people who prefers to be with my soulmate whether it be curled up at home in front of a good film, enjoying an evening of bridge or exploring France (when we can again) in my classic car or aeroplane in pursuit of a some sun, a decent meal and a good bottle of Chablis.
My witty intellect, honed by a formal and rigorous education, is accompanied by gentlemanly manners and a reasonable amount of charm and eloquence; but above all I am a compassionate and caring person who always likes to see the best in anybody, until I am proved wrong. From that last remark you might deduce that I tend to be very trusting of my fellow human beings, and would be correct; but I am pretty quick on the uptake when it is needed.
Having a myriad of interests in life I am seldom unable to contribute to a conversation, however obscure the subject, but also know when it would be appropriate to just shut up. Always laughing, or at least smiling, and with a readiness for any challenge I can offer a fascinating and adventurous partnership for the wonderful woman I hope to meet.
One last paragraph...my lack of public photos are the result of having lived for many years in a rural location where I am well known; I would prefer not to become the subject of more local gossip than necessary. But to give you a vignette in words I am genuinely 6ft tall and slim. think Mick Jagger physique without the hair, and still have more than enough marbles to solve any Sudoko you can entice me with.

I really do like a woman to enjoy being feminine, it is a straight case of "vive la difference"! Hopefully you will be well spoken and educated, tactile and affectionate but at the same time adventurous, maybe artistic and certainly a nest builder. Although I have a fairly hectic life I do enjoy lazy Sunday mornings reading the papers in bed, and I love to spoil my woman with little surprises, whether it be insisting on doing the cooking (I can, and quite well) or with, one day soon, an impromptu weekend in Paris, Milan or further afield so hopefully you will be flexible and spontaneous and don't need to pack 10 large suitcases for me to carry wherever we go away. Above all I hope to meet someone who is comfortable in her own skin, accepting of other people's needs, naturally caring and affectionate and who would naturally take my arm and be as proud to be "my woman" as I will be to be "your man".
