About her
I am legally separated, following a long, loyal marriage. I remain on good terms ( thankfully!) with my 'ex'. Now retired from a professional career, pursued full time over many decades, I have more time for frivolous pursuits- travel etc. I enjoy exploring the wilder places on this planet, from a comfortable base, plus city breaks. I have been fortunate to travel overseas , including the USA, where I have close family. I also take pleasure in domesticity, and architecture; the ambiance of my home is important to me- space/decor. I have developed a well treed country garden, over the years.. These ( trees)are almost as dear to me as my family-but perhaps less troublesome!
Socially, I enjoy compatible company/conversations, but also am happy with quiet pursuits, e.g. walking, reading (non fiction) and writing in a modest way-mainly about 'Nature'. Some published articles, but not in the national press!. I also enjoy the study/practice of European languages. I take a keen interest in politics.. I try to keep fit, by walking. I am lucky to be able to explore the forest in my' back yard'. I dress well-up/down - to suit the occasion and context. currently miss being in a close relationship, with all that that entails, with a compatible partner, and would love to establish a rapport with a tallish, intelligent, sensual, altruistic man, who has kindred interests , and who is similarly financially self sufficient, to facilitate escapades/ having fun together/more. I am not into 'one night stands', and would seek to become closely acquainted over time with the 'right' man ( an elusive commodity!) . I have a lot to offer in a committed relationship- intimacy- if the 'runes ' are right. I am willing to travel, within reason, to meet a potential 'soulmate', should mutual inspiration strike.

About her ideal match
My ideal match would be a well educated , tallish ,sensual, successful man, who also has a heart to complement his intellect. He will have travelled extensively, have global perspectives, be well placed financially, and have some time/space in his life to take on a new 'flame', for the longer term, should a rapport develop. I would not wish to be over prescriptive about the character traits/interests etc of a potential 'partner'. A formula for mutual attraction , it seems to me, is in the 'lap of the Gods', so as a mere mortal I have absolutely no control over such matters. It would be important to me, though, that my ideal match is a person of moral integrity ( non narcissistic!) and emotionally available-those qualities are a 'sine qua non'. An ability and willingness to communicate intelligently would also be most welcome!
