About her
I consider myself to be young at heart, easy going and most of the time I'm content with my lot but now & then there are lonely moments when a companion or soulmate would make all the difference. I enjoy many outdoor pursuits such as walking (the South West Coastal Path in particular), cycling (several trips to France), sailing (cruising & racing), swimming (in the sea, of course!), skiing & the odd game of tennis. Less active pastimes are painting, visiting art galleries, Radio 4, reading, theatre, blues and pop music. I have also practised yoga for many years though not disciplined enough to do it at home on my own! I am lucky to have a great bunch of friends and spend much time socialising with them but would really like a special someone to share things with and do some travelling with.
My three grown up sons keep me young at heart and I enjoy their company and the company of their partners/wives and friends immensely. The Island has drawn them all back after a few years away and it is great to have them living close by. I have three young grandchildren who are totally adorable (but then I would say that!). I live right on the coast in a great spot on the Isle of Wight but travel to and from the mainland frequently.
I'm quite shy but enjoy a party and even the occasional pop festival - I love dancing especially le Roc and jive and go to dance classes regularly in the winter. I also love travelling and would like to spend time seeing a bit more of the world in the next few years as well as this country.

My ideal man would be also young at heart, Intelligent, practical, reasonably sporty, appreciates the arts, likes dancing, travelling, reading a good book, warm & caring, good friend and companion. A good socialiser but likes his own company; someone who enjoys having a few laughs and adventures, not averse to acting spontaneously. But I don't want to be too prescriptive - after all it's the chemistry that counts.
