I'm 5 ft 10", greying brown hair, about 85% left of the original issue. Almost at the fighting snake weight I was in my youth, and with an athletic build up the slim end of the spectrum (attributed to gentle gym, red wine.) In-depth research reveals I'm informal, a Beta-male. I prefer small gatherings to large and my favourite social event would probably be a small group meal. I can be a bit reserved, but 8 out of 10 cats would say I'm worth persevering with. I do banter, dry, and banter. I do cuddles and hold hands in public. I missed out on the flirt gene, sorry, but will do my best if you think it's important. I'd say I'm grounded, a bit too self-reliant for my own good, practical. I have generally liberal views on politics and current events issues. I'm not very romantic, but can be sentimental. My big plus point? - I'm incapable of discussing football.
I'm a professional and my life is centred around Petersfield, Hampshire where I live and the Staines area, Surrey where I work, but the pull to London where I lived for many years is strong.
I grew up on a farm in New Zealand, then moved to the city and since coming to the UK in my late 20's have become more urbanised. I've been here in Hampshire from London for over a year.
I suspect I'm really younger than my chronological age. I had a dream where, from the age of the friends around me, I worked out that I was in my late 20's -perhaps you are too, and not ready to become old and dried up.

I would also like it if you were educated, interested in travel and current events, straight-forward, low-maintenance. Also, be family oriented. Children living at home would be complementary, mine don't live with me but sometimes stay. You would rate loyalty and fidelity highly.
It would be good if you liked conversation, exchanging views, and know when the supermarket is doing a deal on New Zealand sauvignon blanc.
And you could give me gardening advice, talk about culture with a small "c" (but you would earn brownie points if you pined for Desperate Housewives), or share a walk to an NT place for a picnic. And replace Andrew Marr while we read the weekend paper in bed.
I think that people don't have to be the same to do well together, but they do have to be complementary. And in the section above I said I don't feel my age -I'm thinking that I deserve to to be allowed to be a bit more badly behaved. I haven't quite worked out what that means, but if the idea strikes a chord for you it might be along the lines of the poem "When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple with a red hat that doesn't go, and doesn't suit me." (Discuss!)
As for the expression "no baggage" -well, if you don't have any baggage, you've never travelled. And I'm not necessarily joking about your owning an attractive cat!
