About her
I am a fun loving, communicative, warm and creative woman with a curious mind. I have the country in my heart (raised in a small village in Kent) and the city in my soul (I've lived in London on or off for the last 20 years although I still retain reminants of a home counties accent). You might find me with a paintbrush in hand, strolling through borough market or kicking a ball in the park with my son. I am young in energy and appearance (for a child of the sixties- late sixties obviously) and things that brighten my day include sitting in the dark watching a movie, going to the theatre, strolling through galleries or packing to go somewhere special. I have a job that I enjoy and when I'm not teaching I work in a theatre as a house manager (I am addicted to the creativity, randomness and absolute variety that this role offers). On a Saturday night, if I'm not out with friends; dressed for dinner or sharing drinks in a bar, you might find me curled up on the sofa reading a book or watching a movie (I tend to avoid anything scary as for those I like a bit of company).
I'm adventurouus and I would be up for a night under the stars camping, exploring somewhere new or finding another adventure we can share. Join me for a walk in the woods, by the sea or other area of natural beauty?
I have spent time travelling and have lived in Australia (sharing the beach with crocs and dusting off the green ants before opening my mailbox), France (bonjour, ca va - after living there for over a year my French can safely be described as épouvantable - terrible), Greece (where I slept each night with a fly screen separating me from an uninterrupted view of the sea) and the US (working in a costumiers on a children's theatre camp before touring). I have visited destinations as far afield as Thailand, Argentina and Cuba. I would love to travel more as there are peoples and cultures still to experience although these days I spend more time dreaming of living in the country. I want to grow something, harvest it and eat it.
