About her
Yup I’m an optimist by nature, but tempered by cynical realism. Independent, intelligent, warm, caring, and rather laid-back. Happy in my own skin, but miss being in a meaningful relationship.
What would you like to know? I'm fit and healthy and feel younger than my age; loving my new ‘retired’ status after decades as a health professional in the NHS. I live in Cambridge and have my own house/car/bicycle/teeth. My children are all grown up and have their own families; we’re close emotionally and I love being Grandma, but geography means we don’t get together very often.
How do I spend my time? Volunteering on a community farm (love the physical work and the satisfaction of producing food crops). Playing music is very important to me , especially saxophone; weekly quartet and big band rehearsals and gigs – mostly in the summer. And I love to dance! I also enjoy walking, though I prefer the hills and the sea to the local Cambridgeshire landscape. I’m in the gym most days (Pilates, barre, dance). I don’t watch much TV but mostly listen to R4 or R3. I love food and cooking (especially for friends and loved ones); water (dive in!); sunshine and heat; theatre and cinema; pottering in the garden; woolly jumpers and silk stockings; and late nights.
And what am I looking for in a relationship? Company, laughs, and the practical stuff. Holding each other in mind. Shared interests: going to the cinema/theatre; walking; a night in the pub with a group of friends; travelling together. Small acts of kindness. And physical closeness: holding hands, massaging tired shoulders, languid afternoons.

I hope you'll be a man with intelligence, emotional intelligence, willingness to commit, curiosity about the world, a wicked sense of humour, and unbridled sensuousness.
