About him
I am easy going with a mischevious sense of humour. To be honest I don't think that you can capture the essence of someone with a description but I think I am your normal type of guy who enjoyed 52 good years of marriage and who has plenty left to give and enjoy. I took a masters degree in engineering when in my late 30s which led me to work abroad as a project engineer, after which I lectured in engineering technology at the John Moores University in Liverpool.Although I am now a retired academic I still remain curious and interested in the world about me.
Sadly my beloved wife Alethea passed away some six years ago, and I do miss having a loving soulmate and partner. I am a strong family man with lots of love and affection for my grownup and married daughter and son, and my adorable two grandsons and granddaughter
I do hope there is someone out there who would like to share their life with me and embark on a new journey of discovery, sharing magic moments together, a kiss, a cuddle, a walk on the beach, sharing laughter, meals in or out, the odd trip of discovery.
My age may be a barrier to you, but my family and friends say that I am a lot younger in body, mind and spirit than my age would suggest; you would see this for yourself if we met.

Really I am very open minded and just want a kindred spirit who has the same approach to life and love that I do. I don't want anyone with too much emotional baggage . Its not about labels and achievements - sometimes the most incredible people have no idea how good they are and what talents they have.
I am looking for a down to earth warm hearted woman with a good sense of humour, and also one who still retains a childlike curiosity of the world around them.I suppose i am really looking for a soul mate, someone i can share life in a happy loving way.

Eddy is my dad and I am very proud of him . He is exceptionally young in mind and body ....he is often mistaken for being a good 10 years younger and we often laugh about it. He is absorbed by science and is currently writing a series of mini books . He also loves playing the guitar and has got the grandchildren all involved. Dad has a really funny sense of humour and that generally comes out when he is larking about with the grandkids. Dad has a sensitive side and he was a loyal loving husband to my mum until she passed away. He loves trying new things and in the past his jobs took him all over the world so he loves travelling. Hope this gives a glimpse of the man.
