About her
I am quirky, kind, love to laugh, lived abroad most of my adult life (Southern Spain, on a barge in France and lived and worked in Rome on and off for 30 years), fluent Italian, conversational French. I am independent minded, affectionate and tactile, yet self-sufficient, curious, sociable, and I love travelling and learning. I like visiting old buildings and time travelling in my imagination. I also enjoy museums and art galleries and as well as classical music and opera - but not too avant-garde!
I am fortunate enough to live in a beautiful part of the world within easy reach of most of Europe (half an hour from Lake Como, an hour from Milan) and take full advantage of these privileges.
I moved to my current location seven years ago after losing my husband of 30 years and enjoy voluntary work in the local equivalent of the National Trust as well as a local village association. Not terribly sporty but love horses and enjoy walking. I haven't possessed a TV for 15 years but love listening to the radio through the internet - Italian, English and from the US, as I follow current affairs avidly.
