A bit about me: I'm tall, 6'2", quick witted and with drive for life and enjoying the world in as many ways I can. New adventures are always being planned and I would want you to share in most (or some) of them! I have 2 children, both now 20+ and living away but we enjoy spending time together, especially if Dad is offering a meal or if a free holiday is involved! I am good company for most events, either at a reception, a dinner party or just doing the washing-up. I enjoy formal events, parties or simply meeting friends at the pub.
I discovered a love for sailing, a bit late in life but I'm now a RYA qualified skipper looking to fulfill an ambition to sail and cruise in the Med and Greek or Croatian islands. Any crew volunteers? I'm involved in historic Formula 1 motor racing but I also like; scuba, my motorbike (not a compulsory joint activity!), rugby (watching only) and tennis (playing rather badly). An ideal winter would involve skiing at least once or keeping cosy in front of the wood burner. I speak a little French and spend some of my holidays in France, I'm a huge fan of Italy too, Italian food and wine feature strongly in my world but there is a lot of places still on my 'To Do' list.. I am a do-er not a watcher, I would rather spend it than save it but would give my last pound to someone who needed it more.
2023 Footnote; It was time to stop just talking about getting into shape and actually doing something about it. The cocktail shaker has been replaced by a juicer and the fridge is stacked with fruits and veggies. The motorcycle replaced by a pedal bike. Photos are recent.

A bit about you: You will be many wonderful things but crucially you will be confident, bubbly and fairly active. Equally at home in a cocktail dress or shorts and wellies. You dress in a way that says who you are, rather than who you want to be. If you were tall that would be great but if you are always thinking you are too short, then you probably are!
I don't care if you cannot cook but I would be devastated if you didn't appreciate good food and sensuous wines. You dance as if nobody is watching, laugh as if nothing else matters, and love as if the world depends on it.
