About him
Am gregarious and friendly by nature, and although my two cats are good companions, I crave and value good human company and dialogue (although my lady cat Fifi likes to 'chat'!) and a good rapport with someone very close and special to me.
I have a 'book background' and consider good use of our wonderful English language quite important.
I like to keep abreast of national and worldwide news and events.
I consider myself 'pro-European', having had an English father (now deceased) and with a lovely French mother who is very dear to me (who I drive a two hour journey each way to visit every other week at least).
Travelling widely has always been an interest, primarily around Europe and the US - and also (luckily) taking in some of the Far-east in the past with my work.
Music (60's to Puccini and Bizet etc... ) across the range (most certainly NOT RAP though!) is extremely important to me, an essential factor in my life.
Friends are of prime importance to me, especially those I have known for many years.

I have always wanted a family, but unfortunately this was not to be - but a lady with children would of course be perfectly acceptable to me.

Ideally I am looking for a similar-minded lady with a good rapport between us, to exchange/discuss/share thoughts dreams and ideas together.
Many aspects to consider, and fair-minded animal-lovers (especially cat and pet owners) have an advantage with me.
Pleasures plus aspirations and treats shared mutually are quadrupled in value, and also are of great enjoyment of course.
I am fortunate in having many good friends, but I am looking for a special friend to share conversations and opinions with - plus experiences and pleasures on an everyday basis.
With my long established love and interest/curiosity with worldwide travel and the many different cultures around the globe, ideally a partner with a similar attitude and interest would suit me very well and be very agreeable with me.
Having established a mutual interest and enthusiasm (plus perhaps a phone conversation/s), perhaps then we could meet/chat over a coffee/glass of wine and see how that goes? If we both felt suitably encouraged then we could determine whether or not there is sufficient mutual interest and spark for us to pursue this together further. As from this year my time is now totally my own (since I retired), and now I have much more time to give and share with that very special person (just as soon as I find her - or perchance she will find me first!).
