Friendly and have become more outgoing with age.

I do not like ladies who smoke.
I do not hate dogs and cats, but could not have a close relationship with someone who insisted on having household pets. It would have to be me or the dog! (I realise some ladies like the companionship that a dog or cat provides).
I enjoy photography, visiting interesting places (an NT member), walking (a member of the local Ramblers group), eating quality food when in pubs/restaurants, theatre, light classical music and concerts, dancing, travel to interesting places (not just lying on a beach for two weeks). My photos are from my 2014 trip to Canada and Seattle and my 2015 holiday in Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. The bird on my shoulder in the photo is a Red Footed Booby. In 2016 and 2017 had walking/cultural holidays in Italy 3 times and Spain. In 2018 I visited Canada again seeing different parts of the Rockies, followed by three days in Toronto and driving around the Georgian Bay area of Lake Huron. In 2019 I visited Nice and the Seefeld Plateau area of Austria. In 2020 a second visit to see my younger daughter accompanied by my elder daughter and family was cancelled because of Covid. In 2022 I visited Calpe for a few days to test travelling again. Needless to say it rained all the time, just when the UK enjoyed early warm weather. At the end of July my elder daughter joined me for the wedding of my younger daughter at her acreage about 15 miles outside Calgary. Needless to say Daddy paid for the wedding! It was a lovely day until later in the day when there was heavy rain. Luckily the marquee did not leak. In 2024 I went to Sydney and the Blue Mountains, Tasmania, New Zealand, Hawaii and San Francisco. I enjoyed perfect weather throughout Aus and NZ for 5 weeks, but some rain in the USA. A truly memorable holiday.
I am comfortable wearing anything from old jeans to a DJ. Normally wear a smart and stylish shirt.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I would only wish to date ladies that I found attractive, but my ideal partner could not easily be stereotyped. I do prefer a natural appearance - heavy makeup is a turn-off.
A partner must have some common interests, but life would be very boring if we did not have some differences.
Someone who likes discussion and can argue their case which might not agree with my view.
Deal breaker would be regular excessive drinking. I never drink and drive and would be happy for a partner to drink a couple of glasses of wine, but not two double G&Ts followed by half a bottle! I like to stay after dinner dances so that I can have a few glasses. I would not like a partner who was unfaithful.
