I enjoy good food and good company with perhaps that extra glass of wine, but also have a weakness for real ale and tasty pub meals and I like to cook sometimes, but also appreciate a man in the kitchen......
I started to skipper my own boat in my mid sixties, which can be great fun, although sailing the Channel is not for the faint hearted! You might also find me gardening, reading or painting, or occasionally hopping on to a train to London for an exhibition or the theatre.
I love the natural world and sometimes indulge in a bit of bad bird watching.
Travelling still holds excitement and interest for me, be it a short trip or an extended break, exploring parts of the UK and Europe or longer journeys further afield.
I worked as a Probation Officer and then as a Childrens' Guardian so I have met a few "interesting" people in my time!
My daughters and friends would describe me as a strong but caring person with a sense of fun.
I can be comfortable with my own company and enjoy my home and would extend the same space to a special man in my life.
Happy for a casual relationship but delighted if it developed naturally to become more serious.
