I have a witty and teasing sense of humour. I am an independent character with strong values and principles, am confident, empathetic and tolerent. I am easy going and warm hearted and a good listener. A romantic at heart and very tactile and affectionate, love holding hands and am not averse to a cuddle.
I believe I am sensitive and try to avoid confrontation. I am a keen walker, enjoy local history, sport, photography, DIY and classical music. I am an avid traveller and as well as visiting new places I am happy to return to old haunts. Am now just an occasional golfer. Have been a National Trust volunteer locally for 20 years and still enjoy visiting other N.T. properties. Most of my working life was spent in banking, and after taking early retirement I undertook travel work. Fortunately, I am fit, strong and healthy and a recent voluntary health screening states that my metabolic age is 65 - cant be bad! Whilst I enjoy my own company, I am hopeful of sharing much of my time with that special person who shares some of my interests and who will light up my life. I have two grown up sons with wives and grandchildren, but they do not live in my area, so see them infrequently. I might just be the most lively person of my age that you have ever met!! My ideal woman would be affectionate, romantic, tactile, thoughtful and kind. Whilst initially, looks are a starting point, the various aspects of personality are all important. Honesty, affection and that special something called chemistry - if these are present then I would hope for a full romantic relationship.
