About her
I am a very affectionate, honest and loyal friend to those who know and love me. I have been a wife and mother for thirty years and am now out and about again and would love some company - although actually extremely content in my own skin and live happily on my own. I started life as an actor and have been a writer and film-maker - so veer in the arty direction. Apart from my unconditional passion for my four children, I am a voracious reader of all branches of the written word and am gripped by politics, work events and ideas. I come from a journo/film-making family and like keeping up with current trends. I prefer to live in wild and wooly places but as a born Londoner, am very much at home in the city. My favourite places in the world, where I shed a tear when leaving, are the Mediterranean (olive trees and the smell of myrtle and pine) and The Borders, the River Tweed winding through green hills.
Most of all I love laughing with good friends and long evenings around a candle lit table on a terrace somewhere warm. Somewhere where cicadas give way to the frogs at dusk and owls call through the night. You could chuck in a nightingale for good measure and it would be perfect.

I was married for twenty five years to someone I loved.
It would be nice to find that again but I expect something different. My hope would be for easy and uncomplicated companionship. I believe that chemistry is all-important and instantaneous, but love can grow out of friendship. Most of all I would like someone to have fun and laugh with. Someone who would be happy in either the country or the town. I don't expect total immersion in family life although an understanding of my devotion as a mother would be vital. And I would reciprocate. Everyone comes with baggage but I think a laid back attitude to life and an absence of possessiveness might be the ticket! I have a younger than my years attitude to life and would need the same from a partner.
