Well, here goes. I was widowed 8 years ago after a long and mostly happy marriage. I lost my partner of 5 years a couple of years ago after a long battle with cancer..
I am quite easy going and level headed, being serious when necessary and letting the 8 year old come out of me at other times. My friends think I have a good sense of humour, possibly bit on the dry side. I am very able to laugh at myself.
I enjoy socialising with friends, usually over a couple of drinks or a meal. I enjoy holidays, especially in France where there is nothing better than sitting in a cafe bar watching the world go by.
I am a fair weather cyclist and have a passion for gardening. I enjoy bingeing a good series on television, although generally I'd prefer the radio or a book or newspaper.
I would like to travel more but, after travelling to Australia and New Zealand on my own, travel is better enjoyed as a couple.
I am optimistic about the future and looking forward to new experiences in my next stage of life.

Who knows? I am just looking for someone to enjoy life with. Plenty of kisses and cuddles, a good laugh, a few holidays in the UK and abroad (must be warm and sunny). I don't think I can be too prescriptive here as someone with totally different interests to me could be an ideal match. Just someone I enjoy being with, who I can love and who can love back. Someone to do some silly things with. The only no-no is smoking.
