About him
I'm an overweight 78 year old widower. My friends, both of them, insist I don't look a day over 80. They say I can be judgemental and, though showing occasional signs of intelligence, personify the classic underachiever, having scaled the heights of mediocrity in most pursuits by adhering to the old adage 'if at first you don't succeed, kick it into touch'. I have countless other characteristics including an endearing propensity for the occasional sweeping generalisation. Oh, and yes, the charisma bypass was successful, thanks a bunch for asking. I am well travelled and lived in the USA for 10 years during the 1990s.
I am somewhat redeemed by my love of music - Tchaikovsky to Chet Baker, Mozart to Marvin Gaye to Miles Davis, Pavorotti to Peggy Lee, Sibelius to Sinatra.
Literature wise, I read biographies, fiction by among others, Roth, Salinger, occasionally the backs of sauce bottles and The Times.
I love cryptic crosswords - 'Vile circus brat destroyed me', (14) Go to the top of the class if you solve this clue.
My 'keep fit' regime consists of at least 3 laps round my daily Omega 3 capsule, weather permitting. Only that degree of rigorous dedication will result in a body like mine, much to the dismay of ectomorphs, whoever they are.

About his ideal match
Tolerance would be paramount. Otherwise an interest in the world around them, art, theatre, music and travel, but I guess mostly music. I'm not keen on cats so I would think that would be pretty much a deal breaker.
