About him
I never meant to be on my own. I nursed my wife as she died of cancer a few years ago. I thought the transition to a new life would be easy, It was not but now the future is bright. I sold my my business recently and thought I could retire but, you'll know what I mean, there are some people out there in the world who don't leave you alone. So, i carry on part time. I feel a sense of freedom but frustration because I have not met someone to share the future with. I want to travel and share adventures with someone who appreciates the good things in life. I worked hard to achieve this goal and I don't mind providing for the right person (but it depends which way she voted on Strictly Come Dancing and Brexit!!) - not really. I try and see one stellar music act each year anywhere in the world eg McCartney in Stockholm, the Stones in Copenhagen, Rod Stewart in Budapest, Ernest Bagshaw on the spoons in Bradford (only joking about the last one - it was forks!)
My friends will say I am extremely funny and a good musician. I think I am a great cook but I don't think they do. In March 2017 I went on a cookery course in Barcelona and learned how to cook paella. Y viva paella. (I have tried cooking it but must have mislaid a page of the recipe).
I enjoy family life
I love: singing and playing the guitar. I enjoy entertaining, good restaurants, Chateauneuf du Pape, Ronnie Scotts, the London theatre, history, Istanbul, travelling, driving down country lanes with the top down on the car, sport generally, holding hands, waking up on a winter's morning and looking at the bird feeder outside my bedroom window and the tits on my nuts.
