About him
I am very content living in deepest Andalucía but recognise that perhaps I am missing that "zing".
On the day of my retirement my watch broke and I haven't worn one since. After having led a very disciplined life I love waking up, greeting my dogs, wandering around the garden seeing what has grown overnight and having a leisurely breakfast whilst listening to Radio 4 and deciding what to do that day. Perhaps pass some time in the village with some locals, visit the market getting fresh fruit and vegetables and joking with stall holders or persuading some lads to go canoeing on the river. Perhaps just floating up and down on a lilo in the pool listening Dire Straits or even a test match, the sound of leather on willow!!!
My friends would describe as an open person, honest and straightforward possibly forthright and direct, I enjoy banter but within the bounds of respectability. I can be both serious and humorous and don't take myself too
seriously The right woman would find me very loving, affectionate, passionate and loyal.
I dislike, pomposity, pretentiousness and economy with the truth!
The locals play a game with strangers "Guess the Englishman's Age" and so you can tell I look younger than I am and I am always looking to learn more and expand my horizons. My attitudes are very liberal, trying not to judge others.
I have 3 dogs and a pair of peacocks who are at liberty to fly off but they choose to stay and that possibly sums me up.

Strong, intelligent, open, honest and good fun would probably describe my ideal match but the world is not perfect and sometimes a compromise is necessary and of course the right chemistry overcomes all.
Acceptance of most of my faults and patience and help to change those faults that are not acceptable, let's face it in the right partnership there is always give and take.
With a partner I would enjoy ambling along a beach or the countryside, having the occasional cervecita y tapas, meeting her friends and integrating in the village life, there are festivos most months after all. I would want to feel included in her life and activities even if I didn't or couldn't participate.
I could not accept dishonesty in almost any form.
