My friends would say I'm kind and funny but I don't always choose the most obvious or easiest path through life.
Which is probably why I've ended up here, in rural Derbyshire with my only child on the verge of flying the nest, thinking 'Now what?'
I lived in Spain for 14 years and still have ties there but I'm a bit 'over' staring at blue sea so fancy trips that are more likely to make you reach for a cardy than cut offs.
I like a bit of gardening, walking my dog (but gently, not big yomps with laminated maps and red legs). I love telly like The Thick of It, Black Books, Phone Shop and TwentyTwelve.
