I love my life, and feel like my career is finally on track. I have a flat that I love, an awesome social life, and great friends - now I'm looking for someone to share that with.
I'm a massive US politics geek and worked there for a bit when I was younger. I can quote large parts of the West Wing off by heart, and have been awkwardly hugged by Joe Biden. My life as a civil servant however has definitely been much more the Thick of It than the West Wing.
Last year I started Irish Dancing which is delightfully noisy and very satisfying. I have missed those classes a lot during lockdown. I keep attempting Spanish lessons but get up to the third set of classes and end up in a muddle. I guess I am destined to never be bilingual.
I took a career break last year to travel around central America, which was incredible. I would love to do something like that again sometime. Highlights were Mexican food, the scenery of Guatemala, and the cities in Nicaragua.
I'm not a great cook, but I'm a very good sous chef - I'm good at chopping and following directions. I'm also really good at providing scintillating conversation while drinking wine while the chef cooks.
