About her
A terrible housekeeper but an enthusiastic cook, happy to experiment with new dishes. I have a copy of the original Mrs Beeton and so I know how to apply leeches and discipline parlour maids, make exquisite trifles and scrumptious meringues.
I'm an artist so I love visiting art galleries and museums. Painting is a very solitary occupation and although I enjoy my own company you can have too much of a good thing so a companion would be wonderful.
I enjoy drama, on screen or stage, but not in real life. I'm even tempered and prefer to defuse tensions with a few well placed words and a joke rather than throwing crockery. I enjoy good drama on Netflix or on catch up and I love Gogglebox.
I've got central heating, so no log fires here. I don't drink alcohol a great deal so Instead of a glass it would be my mug of black Assam tea which is half full. I can't ski, I'm scared of heights. I have no need of a yacht, I can't swim. I am indeed comfortable in my own skin, the idea of being comfortable in someone else's skin is a bit too Stephen King for me.
I don't wear designer labels or lots of bling. I don't do flashy. Not materialistic.
I'm independent and creative, an animal lover, quiet, sober and with Quaker values. A committed pacifist, so no soldiers! I am loyal and faithful and expect the same in return.
During lockdown I've been studying Zen which I find fascinating and an excellent discipline to give structure to the days which were otherwise all the same and could become quite ... well ... samey.
