I think that I am 'good fun', grumpy at times but certainly not a 'miserable old s-d'. I love to travel and miss the company you really need to get the most fun out of a holiday.
I lost my wife over 7 years ago and am now getting used to being on my own BUT still really need to share time with A N Other.
I don't need 24/7 company but just someone who can be a good companion here at home now and again and who would like to share some of the 'good times' that I am determined to have over the next several Years.
24/7 may just happen but it's not my prime concern.
I have been 'solo' on six cruises plus several other holidays since my wife died - but it is not the same. I have taken my daughters and hubby's for three Narrowboat trips so far and have three more cruises (including a World cruise) before next December (2023).

I play bridge (not too seriously but I am not that bad), enjoy cruising and world travel (the British Isles are pretty good as well) and brought up in the Lake District I am a lover of the open air and country.
it is not possible to describe 'my ideal match'. It will be someone who catches my spirit and with whom I can enjoy myself. I know that 'Life' has a habit of doing strange things - and nothing can be stranger than finding me just such a person.
