About him
My friends describe me as educated, intelligent, sophisticated, and attractive. I am aesthetically aware, and I enjoy visiting exhibitions (often combined with travel, although recently I've had little time to explore the world). I collect art, prints and books. I can often be found in a smart suit and a Duchamp tie. I'm a wonderful companion on shopping trips - in fact, I rather enjoy the pleasant surprise when women discover that I enjoy shopping with them. I am the father of two exceptional young women, of whom I am very proud.
I have just about the best job imaginable, and it gives me a great deal of pleasure. I have always wanted to be in my profession, and it is an important part of who I am. I was a follower of punk in the 1970s, more recently into folk, Americana and opera. I particularly enjoy live performances, especially in smaller venues. I have been a season ticket holder for Rugby Union, and I am a passionate cook. I love to be able to cook with someone - but am just as happy to cook for someone else. I appreciate the finer things in life, including good food and wine, especially Italian. I love all things Italian in fact, rather like 'Room with a View' (one of my favourite films). I've been described as compassionate, perceptive, caring, and thoughtful. I put others before myself. Although I have a serious exterior, I'm warm and funny, open minded and tolerant.
