I am a fairly relaxed, good humoured guy who has seen a lot of the not so nice side of life. I hate conflict, and truly value the soft side of humanity.
I love feminine women. I love girls who smile easily, and I always reciprocate. Good humour, a very catholic interest set...Opera to football, animal welfare, current affairs etc...just about everything. I have old fashioned values, but I am certainly no prude.
I am romantic by nature, my relationship is the most important thing in the world to me...even at this grand age!. I believe in loyalty and commitment, where it is warranted.
I hold to monogamy, and I believe it to be the shrine within which we can comfortably and honestly explore our most wanton fantasies. There can be no boundaries in the head, and between two, but equally no third parties.
If I tell you ''I love you''. I mean I do love you. I love you for yourself now, as you are now...not some chocolate box fantasy as to the person I could remake.
You will be you. I will be me. We will be too old to change anyway.
You will love me if you like the sort of guy who might arrive home with a foundling kitten inside his jacket...ever to be part of his life. I do these things, it is me. If you don't love small souls, you are not big enough for me. If you do, I will love and cherish your big soul.
Other than all this serious stuff, I am quite funny, very relaxed and enjoy the cabaret of life, as it unfolds before me. I also have sharp insight. I can talk rubbish on any subject, to any audience!
Smoking! I enjoy smoking, but understand the 'aroma' can be unpleasant for a non smoker. Therefore I would have no problem giving them up completely for the right person. Indeed I did that for the 9 months of a recent relationship. Unfortunately she didn't keep her part of the deal, and forego her addiction to other men!!!!!
At least she saved me a few quid along the way.

I have no predetermined expectation, beyond normal 'girl next door' teenage fantasy.
All I expect of a girl is that she should be warm, genuine and a genuine tryer. Good humour and femininity are essential, as is a kind disposition. Other than these things, I have no specific wish list, except for hating vulgar and loud women being around me.
I suppose, my most telling wish lies in wanting to think of you as 'my girl'...not my partner or lady.
If I am being honest, I want an equally honest, feminine, gentle and intelligent girl...a girl who is bright but soft, witty and outgoing. Sometimes dark and deep.
From time to time she will challenge me on the issues that really matter...some I shall win, some I am happy to lose...but we will always cuddle. This is the important thing.
So, when I do inevitably bring this soaking wet little kitten home, you will scold me, in a faux way, for ruining my best jacket. But, I will see the light in your eyes, and the gentle smile that falls so easily upon your lovely face, as you run to heat a little milk for her, and make her a bed in front of the fire. Then we shall know each other. Me, my girl and my new mistress, all happy together!
Yes, I do still like fairytales! More so, I believe in them. We shall call her Emily.
