I am lucky to be blessed with a "you don't look your age" appearance and I am young at heart too. I've dared to share my photo to save the big 'reveal' ordeal!
I approach life with an optimistic and enthusiastic attitude. When it comes to affairs of the heart, I may appear a bit reserved (maybe you can change that) I hoped to meet 'the one' under more 'organic' circumstances but alas, the self-help option has now been deployed. I am terrible at reading between the lines so communication is very important. After all, we can't both be emotionally elusive all the time.
I enjoy live music played by real musicians and I enjoy a varied range of music and listen to Smooth & Capital Radio to Radio 3 depending on my mood. I like talk radio - LBC, Radio 4 & Radio London. TV - I prefer comedy, quiz shows, nature documentaries. I love Grand Designs (my dream would be to design & build my own...sigh!).
My friends think I am considerate, thoughtful, time-generous, good to be around and their 'go-to' person. A few probably know that I am more sensitive than I appear.
I am working towards a life/life balance as opposed to a work/life balance and I do surprise my calm, level-headed self with bursts of spontaneity now and again.

My ideal match...is there such a thing! Someone who takes pride in their personal appearance and general well-being is important for me.
The ability to recognise the value of communication would be great! Having an opinion but not opinionated is desirable as is confidence, kindness, consideration and reliability. I appreciate someone who can embrace the expectations of 'traditional v modern male/female norms and find a fair compromise between the two. Umm....is it too late in the day for that?
I'm looking for someone who can teach me a thing or two; who has left the UK (at least once in their lifetime); who I can ask, share opinions, ideas and advice and is encouraging and supportive.
Separated/unhappily married? Sorry, I'll pass, because (in my experience) this usually brings complications. On the positive side, I do admire anyone who is not afraid to commit to a relationship in the first place.
