Hello
I'm a writer - magazines and web - and I write about anything and everything. I really enjoy the mix and get a lot of satisfaction from my work.
My favourite spare-time pursuits are varied. I love wet Sunday afternoons in art galleries and at the cinema, long walks in woods, poking around in antique markets (a friend and I do vintage sales), catching up with friends, taking the Tube to somewhere I don't know and finding a great new pub or coffee bar, being introduced to new experiences and people. And I absolutely love being by the sea - in all weathers. And walking. Also in all weathers.
I read widely - mainly fiction and poetry. Paul Auster, Saul Bellow, Thomas Hardy, AM Holmes are among my favourite writers - but I enjoy being introduced to new authors too. I find other people's passions contagious, and it's the best way I've found of expanding my interests and mind.
What I've most missed since I've been single is sharing - everything from the mundane to the monumental. Even meals for one are infinitely more palatable when they're meals for two!
If I had to pick four things I like about myself, I'd say I was generous, fun, vivacious and interested in life and people. And three things I don't like about myself - I procrastinate and procrastinate and procrastinate. It's taken me a few years to get round to doing this!
I have a really good life - a fantastic family, wonderful friends, a nice home and a job I enjoy, but what would make it even better would be a great boyfriend to share it all with.
