About her
Apart from having no partner, my life is truly good. I have many, very good friends, do lots of interesting things, including holidays, and am more than solvent with my own house and car. I have been widowed for a long time and forced by circumstances to become strong, competent, independent and a fully developed human being, all the more compassionate for my experiences.
My husband was a solicitor with his own practice (criminal defence and divorce) and, professionally, I was an English teacher, always at secondary and tertiary level, always academic and subject based.
I have two sons, both married, one a vet in Surrey, the other working for the Toronto Board of Trade. They each have a baby son.
Particularly in the last ten years I have been very actively involved in "high quality" amateur theatre, being an award winning director and running an independent theatre company. Naturally, with my background, I am very interested in theatre, cinema, art and music and would SO love a male companion, rather than female friends, who would be interested in similar things.
I am a people person, caring, outgoing, confident, fun,(I hope). I am also organised, efficient, reliable, punctual, honest and looking for a gentleman who would love to be my committed partner.
I take a deal of care with my appearance and I am always immaculately presented and made up - obviously as appropriate for the occasion.

I am very unwilling to put a photo on this site, partly because I am well known in my area but mainly because I am the most unphotogenic person in the country! I really would not want to be judged by my photo! But I feel it is unlikely that you would be running for the hills on first sight, if we were to meet!

I am trying not to be too proscriptive about the partner I am seeking. What I really like in men is the ability to be caring and to be able to express emotion - not all the time, of course -- it is important to be fun and not overly introspective or heavy!
