About him
I enjoy the company of those who think for themselves. I like talking to people who are doers as well as thinkers. All sorts of books interest me, from science and art to history. Discussing them with others can be fun. I try to keep up hobbies including sculpture, joinery, sailing and cycling - with varying degrees of success. Those who know me well probably think I am a bit unpredictable in outlook and temperament, but that I have a sense of humour. I don't give up easily when I want something to happen. To some I may seem detached, but I easily show my affection for someone who I become close to.
I enjoy travelling off the beaten track and having holiday aims.

I don't believe in ideal matches and I find many different personalities and appearances appealing. However, the chemistry has to be right and at the risk of contradicting myself, I want someone who shares my interests and who has others which inspire her, who is curious about the world, who is attractive and is not afraid to show it. I want to enjoy all this and more and to go on a voyage of mutual discovery, wherever and when ever we can (and sometimes, when maybe, we shouldn't).
