I am knew to online dating - what a minefield. Gone are the good old days when folks meet at pubs and bars.
I have been single for a while now and at first loved the independence and freedom. However am now ready to find that soul mate for companionship et al.
My friends would describe me as thoughtful, caring and humorous. I do get serious about the important things in life but also know how to throw caution to the wind and have fun. I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, music is important to me. I don't have a particular genre but if I was forced to choose it would be Indie but I do like some rock, latin, folk, old, new -
love Spotify as it allows me to go anywhere I fancy musically. I enjoy the buzz of a pub or bar (however don't like to have to shout to be heard), I am bookworm - well actually am happier reading on my Kindle - so much easier! Really enjoy reading a quality newspaper in bed with a steaming hot cup of english breakfast. Love the theatre; plays, comedies, musicals most things really as long as its not too serious. Love the cinema (although I can't stand popcorn). Haven't tried Opera yet. I work out at the gym 3 times a week, prefer cardio and weights rather than bouncing around a studio however do love a pilates session but by no means an expert. Gave up on Yoga - realised quite quickly I was not able to balance my body weight on my middle finger. I sing in a local pop choir; singing is so good for the soul, if I can't hit the notes I mime. (The choirmaster's version of Purple Rain would make Prince turn in his grave). I love the beach and the sea (especially in Cornwall and Greece) but I do enjoy the countryside (have been spoilt by trips to the Lake District so London parks don't quite cut it for me!). Its always been my philosophy to let my emotions out and enjoy life - so I laugh and cry, giggle and shout.

My ideal match would be someone that is as comfortable going out as staying in, enjoys travelling and the gym. I am not looking for a short term relationship, would be amazing if I was able to meet a soul mate that will be my partner through life.
