About him
Not meaning to be unimaginative, I prefer to hear your stories, and then perhaps spin a yarn of my own. I talk too much when I'm nervous, I think, but I love making other people happy. In that sense I am a reflection of your mood, although if it's dark for some reason, I will see if I can't drag you back to happiness. My aim is always to make you laugh, but not in a goofy way. I am companionable and sociable, friendly and outgoing, thoughtful and considerate.
Being ex Army, I love the outdoors and I have what some call a "great sense of adventure". That said, I still enjoy being in my comfort zone, including cooking and sharing cooking a meal, selecting wine and getting through the lot as we chat, reminisce (difficult I know when we have yet to meet) and laugh. I am a lover of walking and understated quality. My job is related to what I used to do, great fun, slightly on the edge at times, and I travel internationally, which I love. It helps that I love going to unusual places, but it is great to come home and get my life back.
My other pet activities include exploring new places, food, people and sights, cricket, rugby, tennis and staring into the distance while I weigh up meaty issues !!
I'd love to meet somebody who lights that spark, wants to discover what makes me tick and then challenge me. Talking myself up on this thing is already a challenge, so help me out and let me get you a drink !!!

Hmmmmmmm. Well, life is so full of variety and even though I'm of an age where you might expect me to be stuck in my ways, I'm not. On the rare occasions I meet new ladies, and on the even rarer occasions when they aren't already committed in life, I go for amusing, self-assured but understanding, witty, intelligent and wide-seeing ladies. That meeting of eyes across a crowded room thing, that always draws me in. Looks come into it, yes I'll admit, but we're not all oil paintings !
