About her
So about me. I like to think I'm uncomplicated. What you see is what you get, really.
I have an active social life with lots of friends but feel that there is a gap in my life which needs filling.
The things I like doing normally are going to the cinema or theatre, seeing live music. Obviously it’s been difficult to do that recently. Hopefully normal service will be resumed soon!
I’m a very active person. I try to do some exercise most days. Joe Wicks and other fitness trainer videos on YouTube have been a revelation during the past year. I’ve also discovered a real love of walking. There really is some amazing countryside in the UK.
Normally travel is quite important to me and I love wandering around European cities looking at historic buildings and interesting architecture. At the moment it’s a bit complicated to go abroad, so I’ve decided to use this time to explore parts of the UK with which I’m not familiar. For short periods in the past I lived in France, Corsica and the Channel Islands.
I retrained about 25 years go and acquired Interior Design and building qualifications which enabled my career in the building trade. Doing building surveys in the lovely city of Bath wasn’t always easy but certainly interesting. There are some lovely parts of the city hidden away in basements.
Foreign languages interest me and challenge me. I’m trying to improve the French and Spanish which I learnt at school, a few years ago. I also did a short Italian course in lockdown.
I’m also a member of the National Trust, English Heritage and local U3A groups.
I would love to meet somebody who would be a good friend and let's see what happens. I’m open minded about the future. I’d prefer to meet someone close to my age.

I'm quite open minded about the person who I'd like to meet. Everybody has something to contribute. I love to meet new people and learning about their interests, and in that way learn about life. A sense of fun is essential and they shouldn't take life too seriously.
