I love fun, laughter and adventure (and goodness knows we need them after the past year), as well as home comforts and good friends. Enjoy the outdoors, I was brought up in the country and happiest there, but relish a visit to the big city for culture and entertainment. Matthew Bourne a favourite.
Creative and full of enthusiasm for new challenges. I have lived at various times in all sorts of places, from the Scottish Highlands to Tasmania, and travelled in 5 continents - last trip was a Western Australian road trip early last year, and managed Cornwall and West coast Scotland last year as well...never too busy to go exploring and learn something new. I work part-time as life is too short....need time to enjoy doing what I really enjoy doing.
Would love to find someone to share some adventures with, big or small - whether that’s a walk along the river or up a mountain, a trip across America or the Western Isles, penguins in Antartica, dinner in Keswick? ..... and some quiet evenings in. I am a true romantic at heart.
Also very happy gardening, ambling, chatting, knitting, reading, National Trusting, discovering the past, watching decent tv and film.... but generally doing something...the kitchen is perhaps not my forte!
I am an NHS professional with a strong sense of caring, about people, places, the environment and the like. Not so caring about the contents of celebrity magazines, TikTok or reality tv ‘stars’.

I would love to meet an easy going, adventurous, helpful, generous, spontaneous, confident, thoughtful, sociable, sensitive, funny and reliable man...is that too much to ask? Someone who likes to talk, to walk, to spend time appreciating how good life can be, who wants to be my friend, who wants to meet my friends. Someone who shares and who wants me to be part of his life too.
I am pretty independent, so long distance or not too full-on is OK by me if that's how it has to be....but closer to home would be good too! Open to moving to a different area as long as it’s got plenty of beautiful open spaces at hand, I am not a city dweller.
