About him
I'm kind, generous, warm and friendly, but sadly missing a key part of life; a partner! It would be wonderful to enjoy my retirement years with a lovely lady who enjoys male company, walks and cuddles/kisses on the sofa with a glass of wine.
Whilst I am quite domesticated; keeping myself busy sorting out my new house and allotment is fine, I do not enjoy my own company, particularly in the evenings and at meal times, when it would be nice to be able to discuss our day's activities together. I have a son and a daughter, both married with children, who live in Barnet, London, and Hove, Sussex.
My hobbies are diverse, but my collection of LPs, CDs, and DVDs/ Blu-ray films is a particular passion. What would life be like without music and films?? During Lockdowns, I grew a beard and quite like it. Some say it suits me, so I've kept it. However, I'm happy to start shaving again for the right lady, if it's a dealbreaker!
I have recently re-joined the local leisure centre and aim to work out/swim at least twice-weekly. I have also returned to cycling after many years. Wow! What a change in cycle technology since my last one. I am also a keen gardener, with a small allotment that keeps me busy. I enjoy cooking, photography, and as a retired Marine Engineer and Shipwright, I can usually fix most things. In my spare time ???????? I have a wide range of sporting interests, including walking, ten-pin bowling, playing golf and tennis, but not as often as I would like.
I also love the buzz of attending Music Festivals and enjoy camping under the stars. Cooking outside our tent, sharing a nice glass of wine, could be fun! I support my local football team, where I continue to be a Season Ticket holder and enjoy attending matches at Fratton Park (now there's a clue). I also enjoy going to the Theatre/Cinema and ideally eating out with a lovely lady as my companion beforehand. If you think that's you, please get in touch.

I would love to meet a lovely, tactile, stylish lady who likes using make up, and enjoys the simple things/benefits, kisses, cuddles, hugs and the laughs/humour that couples enjoy together. Sorry, but you must be a non-smoker. This is a dealbreaker. You will be someone who likes the outdoor life, going for walks, keeping fit, attending music festivals/live concerts, gardening, cycling, tenpin bowling, cinema, theatre, cooking, wine, watching movies and listening to music, both at home and at live venues. An interest in team sports would be a bonus, but is not a dealbreaker!!
